Hawaii DOH EHA and Windsor Launch Environmental Health Warehouse
November 17, 2009
LAKE OSWEGO, OR — The Hawaii Department of Health Environmental Health Administration (EHA) and Windsor collaborated to implement an Environmental Health Warehouse. This solution aggregates and centralizes information about facilities/sites in the State of Hawaii that are regulated by the administration due to activities that affect the environment.
The Environmental Health Warehouse is a next generation Facility Profiler solution presently used by several state environmental agencies. Besides offering many common Facility Profiler capabilities, the Environmental Health Warehouse also features a redesigned inquiry application user interface, Google map based searches, and an executive dashboard offering a gateway into the solution.
The project aimed to establish an administration-wide data sharing and reporting foundation and environment, assist with internal EHA program coordination needs, and facilitate data quality improvements throughout the administration. The initial Environmental Health Warehouse implementation includes data from the Clean Water, Safe Drinking Water, and Solid and Hazardous Waste branches.
With the Environmental Health Warehouse in production, EHA is now planning to incorporate additional environmental program data and integrate information tracked and managed by the EHA health services division.
